Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Never had a bad experience here. Some of the best pizza in Colorado Springs. The owner is always super nice, knows us by name, and stops by our table to chat when he can. It's everything you would imagine in a small business. Great for group settings or date-nights! And don't forget to order cannoli!
(5)Sarah M.
My absolute favorite place for true Italian pizza. Owners are super friendly. Love the atmosphere! Have not been able to go back since hubby became gluten free.
(5)Simeon F.
Best pizza in the Springs. Tell them to cook your pie crispy. They will custom make a sandwich for you as well. Lastly your pizza its cooked extremely fast since the oven is slight cooler then the surface of the Sun.
(5)Kirk K.
Excellent local pizza shop. You can truly tell the ingredients are fresh and all the menu items are made to order. It's a order at the counter and sit down as the food is prepared, just a fair heads up. This restaurant is a must for pizza lovers and amazing high quality food aficionados

So, here is the real deal. This place could be awesome if they wanted to, but I do not see much customer service. I came back for lunch today (I am here pretty often) and they AGAIN gave me a pizza that was burnt. This happens quite often when they have 'slow business'. You would think that you'd get better service when there are little to no customers. Turns out that a wooden oven needs to be fed constantly to be kept ready to bake. Problem is, if your pizza is the first after idle time, it WILL BURN. I did use to have a Pizzeria in Italy and I know how a wooden oven works. So today's pizza was uneatable. It was so burned and super bitter I stopped at slice 2. I was a bit fed up by the fact that this happens VERY OFTEN, I'd say 2 times out of 5, so really they need to get their act together! It's usually not as bad as it was today. I could not eat it for how bitter it was. So, I told the waitress. She got the son of the owner. He came over to my table and said that "that's just the way they come out". I told him that "no, it was burnt and bitter and that he may want to consider sprinkling some salt on the oven stone to lower the temperature if he has not baked in a few minutes". He disregarded me completely and just told me AGAIN that the pizza was not burnt and that's how they come out of the oven and was trying to blame it on the flour or something. Then he asked me if I WANTED A NEW ONE. At that point aggravated I said, no. Then a minute later I realized that I just paid for a pizza that I never ate!!! :-((( When I had my own Pizzeria in Italy, if someone complained that their pizza was burnt, guess what? I would APOLOGIZE and then I would tell them that a new pizza would come to their table ASAP. I would not ASK them if they wanted a new one. That would be just automatically re-done for my customer, and since they paid AFTER THEIR MEAL, they would also not be charged for their meal. I think that's the least one can do to right a wrong when presenting a burnt meal. This is BAD, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Either they get their act together and learn how to properly operata a wood oven or they will slowly loose all the customers they gained by making pizza with outstanding ingredients. The ingredients are not enough when you burn the dough. -_- What a disappointment. Did not even offer to return the cost of my meal. Unacceptable!

The pizza @ Duca's was fresh and delish, but the environment kind of annoyed me a bit. It was a little confusing to know what you had to get for yourself. Do I get my own plates and forks, or does my server? Does my server bring my wine, or do I have to wait at the counter for it. Ambiance is not their strong point, but their pizza definitely IS. I would order their pizza to go... maybe? I don't know, I'd prefer a full service environment rather than a confusing one.
(3)Chandra P.
Super yummy!!! We finally decided to see what all the talk was about. We had a pepperoni and Margherita Pizzas ,Mediterranean salad (best) and a sandwich. Definitely worth the try.
(4)Mark S.
We went up there for dinner on a Friday night on our way to a concert at the Air Force Academy. We ordered two pizzas and the pizzas were 'Ok' and by 'Ok' I mean just that. They weren't bad but they could have done a better job: better quality ingredients, spices, anyhting. The sauce was weak tomato sauce, almost flavorless, and there was very little cheese on the pizza we ordered for the children. The service was really slow almost glacially so and not because they were trying to handle a rush. There were people standing around idle and when you can watch the Pizza oven due to the open kitchen concept, you get a feel for a lack of urgency on anyone's part. I can only surmise the place is as busy as it was because of the lack of pizza options up on the extreme North End of Colorado Springs. I'll give them another chance, but I won't be in a hurry to do so.
(2)Alyssa O.
Wow everything here was amazing! I know they do everything themselves- pizza dough, sauce etc and it is awesome! Definitely recommend it. The atmosphere is also awesome. Great outdoor patio with cute lights. Great service. Go!
(5)Susan C.
Can't beat a wood fired pizza. Love having this relaxing setting in the neighborhood. Staff is always working hard.
(5)L H.
I enjoyed the pizza here. The crust is quite good, as are the toppings. They use fresh mozzarella, which is good. The sauce is okay, but not the highlight.
(4)Zenda R.
The pizza was incredibly good. Fresh tasting and light crispy crust. We also ordered a salad which was really great also. It was hard to find a seat and we had to wait 30 minutes for our pizza but well worth the wait! I will definitely go back and next time order more pizza so I can take home some left overs.
(5)Laurie K.
This pizza place is awesome! The dough, the sauce, the duke, and the service! We will be back!
(5)Jason E.
The pizza here is excellent. They make it to order and it cooks in under 1.5 minutes. They have a large selection of gourmet toppings and slide it into a wood fired oven. They take very high quality, fresh ingredients and cook it properly and bring it to you quickly. I usually order the margarita pizza. It comes with crushed tomatoes, fresh basil, and fresh mozzarella. Fresh fresh fresh. This place does it right. Also the older gentleman that walks around greeting the diners is just something you don't see anymore. You can tell that the family is proud of the product that they produce. The only downside is because of the fresh tomatoes, it tends to make the crust a little soggy if you don't eat it quickly. If they find a way to address this issue, you are talking about one of the best pizzas in the state.
(5)Allen C.
Pizza was terrific! Great place. We had three different pizzas and they were completely different - sauces, toppings, type of cheese. Not like most places that serve the same pizza with a few different toppings.
(5)Glenn S.
Duca's could be astounding--if they'd just master their ovens! I've been there 4 times; twice the crust was soggy to the point of being watery, once it was seriously burnt on the bottom and too black to eat, and once it was great. Is it the altitude? I often get stone oven pizza in San Francisco and the crust is superb. The owner and staff are friendly, and the menu above average. I really hope they get serious about quality control and the art of baking. Crappy crust = crappy pizza.
(1)Matthew P.
Amazing, authentic Italian pizza. This place is a legitimate pizza joint. They serve pizza, pizza and more pizza (and a bit of salad too). I stopped in here for a quick dinner and that it was. Their authentic wood burning brick oven cooks your pizza to perfection at 800 degrees in 90 seconds! I have left many reviews for pizza joints that use wood burning brick ovens and I am critical after living in Italy for 3 years and I assure you this place will not disappoint! I ordered the Duca specialty pizza and a beer and the cost was $13 and I was eating and drinking in under 5 minutes. Great place for a dinner with friends or a quick bite to eat.
(5)Nicolas D.
Food was fine but when I asked for the wifi access, the kid told me there was one but the owner doesn't give it out to the customer. Odd I'm this day and age.
(2)Patty T.
I don't know how this place got four and a half stars unless we hit it on an off day. The first thing I noticed was the tables with dirty dishes on them when the customers had left the premises. Secondly, was the demeanor of the order taker. She said hello and stared out the window while I told her our order. She rang it up and gave us glasses and said it should be out in a couple of minutes. The guy making the pizzas looked at me and I smiled, but he just looked away. Thirdly, and most importantly, the pizza. It came out very quickly and looked and smelled great. Then I tried to pick up a piece--the middle section of the slice went limp, and the toppings slid off. I ate them separately with my fork and I have to say the flavors were great. The part of the crust near the outside third of the slice was nice and crisp with good flavor. The problem seemed to be a too-thin crust and a watery, albeit tasty, sauce. A little attention to detail by people who don't hate their jobs and this would have been a much better experience. Instead, only about a third of the pizza was edible. We won't be back.
(2)Billy M.
Great Personal Pizza Spot. Our party of 11 stopped by and enjoyed our pizza, and breadsticks. The Mediterranean SALAD was amazing, also. Even though we accidentally walked in 5 minutes before close, the owner and employees were helped and polite. They even hooked us up with a ton of extra breadsticks as they closed up shop!
(5)Charlie S.
The tomato sauce has a nice bright flavor. I'm glad that they keep it simple. The crust is a classic neo cooked with right amount of char like the perfect marshmallow on your smore. The crust was light with the right amount of texture. If you love that wood fired taste then this is worth checking out. Friendly, good service, outdoor seating too with Sinatra in the background.

Having landed in COS yesterday and not willing to venture out too much on Super Bowl Sunday, I looked forward to a nice "local" spot to try out some new food. One of my coworkers that I was visiting suggested Duca's so I figured I would give it a shot. It was a quick drive for me and I'm so glad I listened to him. Watching them make it from scratch a pizza bianca was incredible. Normally, I'd not order this, but, the person recommended it, so I figured I would try it. Glad I did.. it was great. It was light, rich in flavor, and not overpowering. The crust was thin but had the nice mix of soft in the center, and a nice crunchy crust. I wish we had something like this locally that could make something like this. I may have this for lunch again tomorrow!
(4)Bran P.
A quaint surprise and great place to grab a slice of fresh, wood fueled, brick oven awesomeness. Off the beaten path, and a variance from the typical COS chain restaurants. Service was surprisingly fast, and the thin crust italian delicacy does not leave you in a bloated, meat sweat coma like most of the standard pizza fare around here. The salads were especially crisp and fresh, topped with a savory garlic knot. The front range scenery is majestic, and on the patio you can catch the spicy smoke scent wafting off the wood oven. Note: Coffee, Gelato and a cozy little park, all in same location, not too shabby ; ). Someone's neighborhood secret just got out.
(4)Roxana G.
This place was wonderful! The service was quick and everyone was very friendly. The pizza selections are great, and sandwiches looked great! I checked out everyone's plate ;) The sauce had a homemade natural fresh taste, not acidic. The Mediterranean salad had a sweet vinaigrette dressing, amazing! Only down side is that seating is a bit crammed, but not bad to bring it down it stars. For a lunch with a friend or hubby., terrific choice!
(5)Rob P.
Great food and very friendly service. The ingredients are very fresh making the quality of the food excellent. This was our first time here and it's now become our favorite place for pizza.
(5)Audrey W.
Duca's is a true gem in the pool of endless chains in North Colorado Springs. What makes Duca's awesome: 1. Service- as you walk in, you notice the team of youngins' behind the counter. It might just be me, but I assume that high school age = rude or apathetic. NOT AT DUCA'S! The employees are incredibly nice, patient and helpful. The owner, an older gray haired gentleman is usually around helping the workers and serving the wine or beer. He is incredibly sweet as well. 2. Pizza- O.M.G. the pizza!! So delicious!! It might be the best in Colorado Springs if you're looking for true Neapolitan pizza. Just the right amount of tasty sauce with not too much cheese. I would only recommend getting one or two toppings unless you're going for one of their specialty pies. 3. Value-The price is on point for the amount of food you get. I usually can't finish my whole meal and end up taking 2-3 slices home. Keep it up Duca's, we'll keep coming back!
(5)Richie S.
Best in the springs and their house wines are incredible.. The service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic, not to mention there's not a bad thing on the menu.
(5)Kara Z.
I'm glad people like it here so much. I went with a new colleague at lunch on a weekday and the service felt a little awkward and stiff (the woman I was with has a disability and it felt like the woman at the counter was awkward with her- I could be wrong but it just felt a little off and uncomfortable). I was excited to find a place that offers a pizza without cheese since I'm not a huge fan of cheese but I love pizza. It was bigger than I expected (they have good prices) but really garlicky. I got the house arugula salad which was just OK- I'm sure people who get it with cheese really love it. My friend got a lunch special that had a sandwich and salad and she had a hard time eating her sandwich because the bread was hard to bite into and cut but she thought it tasted good. I think the food here is for fancier tastes so I can see why it's popular- maybe I'm just not refined enough. ;) I probably won't be back but it seems hard to find locally owned restaurants around here so I hope they have a lot of success! (Also I'd like to recommend that they open a little earlier on Sundays because then they'd catch a big church crowd- we tried to meet friends here on a Sunday after church but had to leave since they weren't open yet).
(3)Drew M.
I'm not usually keen on designer pizza but this place is great! We had their Cesar Salad, BBQ Chicken and Buffalo Wing Chicken. Everything was delicious. The pizzas were brought to us surprisingly fast which was nice considering we didn't have much time to eat in the first place. The staff was also very friendly! My only critique would be that there didn't seem to me much ingredients on the pizzas. Although it was not a big enough deal to warrant giving this place less that a 5 star rating!
(5)Robert S.
Briefly... Awesome. The food is great the items are fresh. In this part of town, a place like this is an oasis. Pizza, with innovative ingredients! Comparable to none in this part of town. Well worth it and with a neighborhood vibe. Good for families or a date.
(5)R R.
Fresh, delicious, fast....absolutely perfect pizza. Tomato sauce is fresh crushed tomatoes, chewy dough, fresh cheese with a hint of buffalo, all around a great pizza. They only make one size; about 11-13 inches...which is perfect to share for smaller appetites. If I was really hungry, I could easily eat a whole one. Service was great, very clean restaurant. I would recommend you ask for the pizza to be cooked "crispy", as it is a bit soft in the middle. Will def be back
(5)Paul D.
A must go! Reminds me of the Neapolitan pies I ate growin' up in Jersey. Best pizza in the Springs, hands down.
(5)Mike A.
Having been to southern Italy and after eating my way through the Amalfi Coast, I can officially say that Duca's is the real deal. If you love Neopolitan style pizza or just want to have an authentic Italian experience go here. You will not be disappointed.
(5)David B.
Authentic Italian style pizza prepared in a flash by people who care. I've been 3 or 4 times. Once they messed up the order (pepperoni on the wrong pizza) but they humbly and quickly prepared two new pizzas and brought out free desserts for the table. Talk about good customer service! Pizzas are always prepared well, toppings are fresh, and its just a great place to eat.
(5)Vinay B.
Gourmet pizza at its best. Best pizza I've had my entire life. I often drive from Denver to get pizza here- meeting my friends in springs is just an excuse. Seating is a little cramped but you have to see the decor - it's down to earth yet classy. I'm not going to give you the details, that would be a spoiler. Go check it out. Service - if this was ebay I'd saying something like " A++++++ " They do whatever it takes to make sure you're satisfied with your food. Side of olive oil and garlic? Not on the menu but they made some anyway on request! Price - This is a steal. That's all I can say. I'd pay more without complaining. $12-14 for a gourmet pizza like that also makes my wallet happy. Food - They'll let you know if you got too many toppings and if it won't work well. It's all about your experience. I usually get the Bianca pizza because I'm not a big fan of red sauce on pizza in general, but I've even asked them to make me a cheese pizza once and it was delicious. I've been here by myself, with couple of friends and as part of a large group. Every single one of them loved it. Some people might say I haven't traveled enough but after having stayed in 9 cities across the US and having tried pizzas in all these cities, this is my favorite pizza place.
(5)C.Jaye M.
Duca's was great! They use real pizza ovens and chunky ingredients. The wait was quite long due to the large crowd, so they gave us free cannolis. We'd definitely go back! One caveat: the pizza ovens left little toasty spots on the crust, and the kids did not like that--it tasted a little burnt to them. The adults enjoyed the crusts, though. Cannolis were fresh and delish.
(5)Shawn D.
Aaaahhhh. Real pizza! The star of the pizza is the dough. It's soft and thin and the perfect amount of chewyness. They use real fresh mozzarella and all the ingredients are fresh and delicious! I had the margherita with pepperoni and pepperoncini. The chocolate hazelnut desert is wicked good.
(4)Alicia K.
Why is this all the way in Colorado Springs? Distance is Duca's only weakness! Maybe I can put the bug in your ear and you'll expand to Golden... I've been craving some good old brick-oven style pizza and when this came up on yelp on the drive home, we immediately headed toward it. Each pizza is supposed to be "personal sized", but this would have easily been 2 meals for me. The Duke (the fun, brightly colored, and imported wood burning oven) did an excellent job quickly cooking our pizza to perfection! "A blistering 800 degrees....cooking in 90 seconds" to be exact. The ingredients are simple and fresh. And it was hard to make any decisions with a huge bowl of mozzarella balls staring at us. The the pizza crust was authentic and excellent! We ordered a pizza margherita (a classic test of any pizza joint) and as recommended by our pizza maker, the rosemary ham and mushroom. Wow! What a great recommendation. Oh, that garlic creama.... I was secretly trying to take the slices with the most giant blobs of garlic creama that I could find. But it was no secret, so was everyone else. We walked out as 3 happy and full campers for about $30 bucks (including our round of beers). That's amore!
(5)Candice P.
That DOUGH!!! So fresh and delicious. My wife got a salad (because there are no other gluten free options) and moaned with every bite. My kids and I had the Bianca which was delish. Service was fast, facility was super clean, great little atmosphere...we will definitely return. I'd like to take a bath in their garlic knots...
(5)Lyle L.
The pizza was good. It would have been better if half of the pizza didn't have an overwhelming burnt taste. I also ordered a cannoli which they forgot to give to me so I had to wait an extra few minutes for. Another gripe was the wait time... I waited almost 15 minutes when I saw them put my pizza in the oven for only a minute or two. This makes me feel like I waited way too long. I would try this place again to see if my experience was a rare one.
(3)Mark E.
Awesome firewood oven baked pizza. Finally a place in Colorado Springs that gets pizza right. The service is always fast and the staff is friendly. This place offers outside patio seating for the summer.
(5)Todd D.
Its great! They have good service and also good pizza. Its cool too see it being in the duke oven.
(4)Jennifer D.
Been here many times...the pizza is amazing and the tomato sauce is super fresh! Before eating the food for the first time, you should know the crust isn't crispy like you might be used too. But boy, is it good!
(5)Joseph W.
Amazing pizza, awesome service.
(5)Sasha G.
I have only the best to say of this place. Small little Italian place. A slice of pie and a glass of red. Yum. Friendly service and food made feesh in front of you. The prices are unbelievable for fresh pie. Ill be back
(5)Paul D.
I have had several Pizzas from Duca's and I have yet to be let down. Everthing is Fresh, and most everything is home made. :) Duca's is authentic style of pizza is quickly becoming my favorite.
(5)Laura B.
Ate here again last night and as every time before the food was excellent. The pizza is made right in front of you and done with such fresh ingredients. Had the Mediterranean salad this time and was not disappointed!
(5)aaron m.
Great go-to neighborhood pizza place. Wood fired so not your typical greasy dominos or pizza hut. Really love this place.
(4)Sarah N.
Been here 4 times now, and Duca's is still awesome! I've ordered various versions of the Margherite by adding one or two extra toppings (my favorite is to add roasted peppers and pepperoni). The owner always comes by and pats us on the shoulder as he asks how our pizzas are. Makes us feel like we're in his house, and I'm happy to tell him each time how delicious our food is. The slightly charred bubbles on the beautiful crust, the surprisingly bright flavors of the tomato sauce... YUM! The guy who brings out the pizza is the same kid everytime, and he's ALWAYS courteous and eager to please. Two pizzas (with one being a specialty) with a total of 3 extra toppings plus one fountain drink came to slightly over $22. Even with my 5-star rating, however, I'm still going to complain that the menu isn't viewable until you're standing directly at the counter; otherwise, it'll have to be on your smartphone as you wait to order. And I've had much better cannolis at Whole Foods - Duca's are too small and the cream inside tastes overly processed. It was a battle, but I think Duca's won my favorite pizza place in Colorado Springs (still behind Pizzeria Locale in Boulder, though). If you're looking for a high-quality, personal pizza, EAT HERE.
(5)Ann C.
Delicious delicious delicious... Not your standard pizza place. Very clean and friendly staff great customer service. I ordered the gorgonzola and caramelized onion... It was phenomenal we will be back and I will be ordering that pizza again
(5)Rick B.
Delicious pizza! With many options and combinations of toppings and sauces. I chose to go with my classic combo of banana peppers and prosciutto and it was great. I also tried some of my friend's buffalo chicken pizza and it was by far the best buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had! Its kind of a far drive out of the springs, but definitely worth it!
(5)Scott B.
If you like Neapolitan style pizza then this is this place for you. Thin crust pizza with mozzarella. How could you go wrong. I had the pizza with rosemary ham. Pizza was very tasty and you can't beat the price . If you are tired of your regular pizza place give this place a try.
(5)David H.
I've come here a few times. Each time I get a pizza here I am satisfied. The crust is great, the sauce and mozzarella is fresh. The atmosphere is very homie and inviting. I would recommend Duca's if you're looking for a great Italian style pizza. All pizzas a designed for one person. If you don't feel like a pizza they also have very good sandwiches. Over all I'm very impressed and enjoy coming here.
(4)Katie S.
I have never had pizza like this before. Had the Pizza Margherita and it was yummy! My husband had the BBQ chicken and it was delicious too!
(4)D M.
Absolutely delicious. Loved the wood fired pizza made with fresh mozzarella and fresh toppings! Delicious thin, soft al dente crust. I recommend the capricciosa pizza (artichoke, mushroom, ham, and kalamata olives) and Duca's arugula salad. Nice atmosphere (quiet, intimate) and friendly, attentive service.
(5)Roy D.
We ordered the Bianca and the marinara. The marinara was ok. The Bianca was burnt in places and that burnt taste overpowered the pizza. Not worth the drive.
(1)Tom W.
First time eating at Ducas. The pizzas and service were excellent. Good atmosphere and decor. A little pricey, but well worth it for a specialty pizza.
(5)Jeff N.
This was excellent pizza and salads. We went down to see the Sky Sox yesterday and stopped here based on all the 5 star reviews. It was really, really good. If you are nearby, please go and support a neighborhood place.
(5)Marc R.
I love this place. What more can you say, cheap and amazing pizza, great service....it's like you are in pizza heaven. I'd marry the pizza oven if I could take it home.
(5)C S.
Great brick oven pizza! Fresh ingredients and excellent crust. Their pizza does not drip with grease like big chain pizza joints. Their Med salad is great tasting too. Family atmosphere and friendly customer service.
(4)Chip U.
Wow, wow, wow, nothing short of fantastic! I was stationed in Italy for nearly six years and this is as it closes as it gets to authentic. In addition to the great pie, I was amazed at the staff, specifically the pizza maker. He took a lot of pride in telling me about the oven and the top-shelf ingredients they use. I asked if they were VPN-certified and they said they were not...well, my pizza snob disappointment disappeared after the first slice, absolute heaven! My favorite pizza in the Springs!
(5)Brittany S.
On our recent trip to Colorado Springs my husband and I found this gem! It was delicious. We shared a pizza and salad and could not have been happier with our choice!
(5)Dawn R.
We are on a search for thin crust, brick-oven pizza like we had when we lived in Italy. So far, in Colorado Springs, this is the closest. The crust was pretty good, although we had to ask the staff to cook it a little longer than usual after reading others' reviews about it being doughy. It was still slightly underdone, but not too bad. The toppings were very good - we had the rosemary ham with garlic crema pizza and our kids had the margherita. Much more flavorful than the pizza we had at Pizza Rustica in Old Colorado City. Our favorite is still at Amicas in Salida but we are hopeful that we can find something close to that in town. We will return to Duca's.
(4)Chris H.
I love fire-baked pizza and Ducca's does it very well. They have a smaller menu than some other places that serve similar dishes, but they make them count. Some original combinations and some solid basic pizzas. The atmosphere is really nice and clean with a custom oven. They service was quick and kind while the food was cooked to perfection and delicious. The prices are really good for how big the pizzas are, around $9 per pizza. Go check it out! Not a whole lot of seating though, wouldn't recommend big groups.
(5)Heather L.
Absolutely authentic. I felt like we were transported back to Naples. Duccas pizza and arugula salad were fabulous!
(5)Peter J.
Awesome pizza. Love that it's cooked in the brick oven and they use fresh ingredients. Dough is very tasty and sauce is light yet flavorful. Reminds me of the pizza in Italy which my wife and I miss so much after we lived there for three years. Very glad we found this place! This is a great place if you are looking for more authentic pizza. If you are looking for Americanized pizza on the cheap with large portions, look elsewhere.
(4)Dan D.
I got the capriasi and it was delicious. In all we ordered 4 pizzas and every one was hot and absolutely delicious. We will be visiting "the duke" again.
(5)Lauren W.
So sorry to give this place a bad rating. The staff is SO nice, and it's a cute, quaint little place. Here's the deal... I lived in Naples, Italy for 2 years. I experienced real Neapolitan pizza. We have been back in the States for 4 years now, and have only found 1 true replica of the taste. Sadly, this was not it. I was truly hoping for the best when I tried it out. Is this good pizza? YES. Is this the Naples, Italy taste I was hoping for? No:( I would love to chat with the owner (he is very nice). Would love for him to create "the" taste that I found in the States.. over in Rhode Island (Federal Hill Pizza, federalhillpizza.com ).
(2)Dawn K.
Loved it! Fresh ingredients! Great service and staff! I can't believe I have drove by twice a day for 5 months and didn't stop before!
(5)Laura Z.
Yummy pizza and I really love the Duca Salad. I recommend this place. And I've never lived in Naples so therefore I will enjoy my pizza in ignorant bliss.

I ordered a Mama Bella with added artichokes. The crust tasted like a soda cracker except it was tough and chewy. The pizza was bland with little to no cheese or artichokes. I stopped on the way home and bought some cheese and a bottle of artichokes...came home and put it in my toaster oven and also added red pepper flakes. I usually go to Il Vicino but read on Yelp about Buca. I will never go back there again!

Definitely good, thin (VERY thin) crust pizza. *Disclaimer* I, personally, am a much bigger fan of thin crust pizza rather than thick, doughy crust. We ordered a traditional pepperoni (tomato sauce, cheese & pepperoni). The tomato sauce had a bright, light flavor. Not a ton of cheese and just the right amount of pepperoni. We also ordered a bbq chicken pizza. Chicken, bbq sauce, a smattering of cheese (I believe it was provolone) and cilantro & green onion. I'm one of those people that think cilantro tastes like soap but I have to admit that the cilantro seemed to compliment the pizza and I really did not notice the green onion which was sliced thin, the long way. Overall, I liked the pizza. It seemed like quality ingredients are used and the flavors of all the components of each pizza complimented each other. This is good pizza and, in my personal opinion some of the best that can be had in the city. Our order came out within 10-15 minutes. Service seemed efficient. You place your order at the counter, get your drinks, utensils & plates and seat your self. They bring your food to you. The gentleman that was handling the dining area seemed to be a manager and/or owner. He was very pleasant, helpful and seemed interested in what we thought about our meal. Price-wise. . well, we are a family of three and all filled our bellies for a grand total of $25.00. Really, not too bad. The interior was tastefully decorated with darker wood flooring,mustard/lemony colored walls and nice simple wooden tables & chairs. The walls are adorned with very large, older photographs of Italians. Not certain if they were random pictures or actual pictures from the owner's family. So glad there are no televisions in the restaurant. Grazia!!!

Today was our second time eating at Duca's. Absolutely great. I was pleased to find that my first satisfying trip was not an anomaly. Note: If you want a big American pizza slathered with overly sweet sauce and a layer of shimmering grease, go to Pizza Hut. If you like great brick-oven pizza made with fresh dough and fresh ingredients in spectacular Italian style, then go to Duca's. The pizza is very reminiscent of the many delicious pizzas we enjoyed in Italy and elsewhere in Europe As mentioned in other reviews, the pizza is great. They prepare it fresh and rapidly baked it in the brick oven. The result was an awesome pizza with lightly charred crust. The recommended selection of favorite combinations on the menu is great. I'd recommend the pizza with fresh Mozzarella, spinach, mushrooms, and ham, although my girls' pizza with roasted red pepper and bell pepper was equally good. We also tried the Mediterranean Salad (Feta, greens, kalamata olives, red onion, etc). Very good. The ingredients were fresh and well proportioned. The dressing was sweet and lively - something that everyone from my wife to my 12-year old daughter loved. Service was prompt and friendly. The manager or owner repeatedly visited our table to check on us... a very nice touch in a town usually marked by uninspired customer service. He was pleasant, friendly, and sincere, without being cloying. Service: 10 of 10 Food: 9 of 10 Cleanliness: 10 of 10 Ambience: 8 of 10 (nice covered patio with Italian music) Price: 8 of 10 Portion size: 7 of 10 Finally, portion size is above average. The pizzas appear to come in one size (~8-10 inch). Two pizzas and two large salads was enough to feed my family of five. If I had teenage boys, I might have had to have ordered another pizza, but this was fine for my wife and I, plus three athletic teenage girls with healthy appetites. In summary, we truly like this place. We will definitely add Duca's to our list of local favorites.

Super pizza place; really close to home, very affordable and darn good pizza!

Great buffalo chicken pizza (you have to ask for it since it's not on the printed menu). Great flavors with a bite of the buffalo sauce. Really worthwhile!

Excellent. Well priced. Delicious. Would give a 5 stars if only there was something my kids would have liked better. Clearly they need gourmet pizza training.

I love pizza and I'm no stranger to having great pizza while in the great pizza cities like NY, Chicago, even Portland and here in LA, (all in the name of scientific research, of course). And while I know it's all preference, for me, the NY style of pie is the best! So, if NY style is your favorite too, then do yourself a favor and get over to Duca's! In my opinion, it is up there on my best list when it comes to this style. Such a sweet surprise to find this little gem while visiting the Springs this summer. Great pie & great service! Also, if I remember correctly, they even had garlic powder on the tables, which is a favorite little trick I learned in NY. Makes a pizza sing, and yes, the breath hum, but so worth it! ;) I had the Duca's Original Pizza Bianca and loved every bite. White pizza is not easy to find but so worth the hunt.

I'm not a big pizza fan, however, I must admit, this was the best tasting pizza I have had while in Colorado. The brick-oven cooked pizza was fantastic. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Wow. Just wow. Happened upon this place just driving by after picking up the kids from school. I haven't had Neapolitan style pizza since I lived in California. And Duca's is as good as the very best I've had. The Margherita pizza is absolutely fantastic. Crust is perfect and nicely cooked in the wood-fire oven. The crushed tomato sauce was a nice blend of sweet and acidic. I'd prefer a few more basil leaves, but it's a minor quibble. And the canoli's were wonderful. Very crispy with a filling that isn't too sweet with a nice bit of tang. We will be back for sure!

A real find! NOT your high-volume tough/thick crust with generic ingredients. This is a boutique pizza. Only one kind/size of crust, made to perfection. Light, full of flavor. Wonderfully flavorful and fresh ingredients. We had the rosemary ham with (fresh sliced) mushrooms... and big dabs of garlic creama... yummmm. I asked about delivery... they'll never deliver because the crust is best in the first minutes after the pizza comes out of the oven. (Yes, you can take out of course, but I recommend eating right there, while it's hot and fresh.) For my 90 year old father in law, it brought back memories of the little neighborhood Italian pizzeria where he grew up in Long Island. We'll be back!

I'm a regular customer becuase of their incredible food. You can't find a better pizza around and you can't beat the family service. Family owned and operated and it shows in a very postive way. I can't say enough good things about this place. If your on the north end of town and looking for a good bite to eat and a fun atmosphere, stop in. You won't regret it.

I read the reviews and went to try their Pizza. It's a strip center place so I don't see how you can give this place 5 stars. My BBQ Chicken Pizza was very tasty. Friendly service and for me my wait was no longer than any other place. Personally I will ask for mine to be cooked about 2min longer next time for crispier crust but I thought it was very good. $12 for Pizza and a soft drink. COKE products. My suggestions to owner is to include a description of ingredients on the back of their menu for folks like me who do not know all those Italian words for meats and cheeses. I will be back with friends!

Thursday night 7-19 545pm 4th day opened. Ordered 3 pizzas and one salad. Waited 36 minutes and two pizzas were lukewarm. One was missing cheese and never got the salad as it was not wrung up. Tables vacated were not cleaned quickly. Manager or owner older gentlemen appeared to chat with Friends but not customers and friends received pizza in much shorter timeframe. Pop was low on carbonation? As noone asked how our service and food was and only said sorry when we told them will not be going back. Disappointing as we are small business owners and wanted to support another.

Pizza is really good, they aren't huge in size but are massive in flavor. You can't go wrong with quality ingredients made fresh in front of you. They had me hooked after one bite. It's family owned and operated which means you can only get Ducca's pizza one place...Ducca's.

Great pizza done with an imported brick oven. The sauce and cheese are excellent ! Best pizza that we have found near Monument. Owner was there each time we went there and the quality and friendliness shows. Highly recommend!
(5)R R.
The pizza and service was excellent! The pizza is the closest we've had to real Neopolitan pizza in Colorado. Even though we live in Denver, we'll be back!
(5)Brett G.
Duca's is great. Their wood-fired pizza is made to order and is the perfect size to share with one other person or to pig out and eat all by yourself. Their cheese specialty pizza is amazing with ricotta and cubes of mozzarella rather than shredded. It's great for lunch or dinner, I've done both! The best compliment of a restaurant is that you would return and I have returned here multiple times! Thanks for making a great pizza!
(5)Christopher H.
This is by far my favorite pizza place in Colorado Springs. The restaurant environment was clean and interesting, as you could watch the pizza being prepared and baked in their brick oven, heated with real wood. Pizza was excellent and pricing surprisingly lower than on would expect. Good variety as well.

Great little neighborhood spot. Went for first time tonight and had a fast, friendly and fresh food experience. My son loved watching the pizzas being made. Pizzas were very good. The crust was the perfect mix of crunchy and chewy. My son who always leaves the crust end of his pizza behind...ate all of every slice! Light, fresh and enjoyable. Great old family photos abound... Sweet spot!
(4)Sally C.
it is ok, friendly service, but the pizza is far from being authentic Italian Naples pizza. a bit pricey for what you get.
(2)Erika P.
Hands down the best wood oven pizza in Colorado Springs. Eat here 3-4 a month and have never had a bad experience. The atmosphere is great and so is the food!!
(5)Alexander L.
This is a solid 4.5. If it had better wine selection it'd be a no-brainer 5 for sure. I've dined here twice and it is SO refreshing having a local, more personable restaurant in the Springs as the grotesque chains dominate restaurant choices here. The prices are reasonable (pizza that fully feeds two people is 10$). Pizza is done proper and is BOMB. Crust is great, great selection of toppings to add as well. Both times I've been in here the owner has been there and he is a really nice guy who knows how to treat customers and manage workers well from both of my experiences there. Pictures of his Italian family are hung on the wall and you really get the family/laid back, feeling of a local spot here. This is a new twice-three times a month spot for us. One thing... the garlic knots which only come with the salads are AMAZING. I wish they offered these as an appetizer with some good dipping sauces!

Duca's is a great place for authentic Italian pizza. Went there on Saturday with my wife and then went back on Sunday with the whole family. The dough was light and fresh...loved it! We'll definitely be back again.

Got a great livingsocial deal to try out this place and let me tell you it was AWESOME! The pizza was a total hit for my friend and myself. We also got a salad, garlic knots and wine! Very pleased with the wonderful service. I will go again! Its not over priced although I rated it mid priced it was for a salad, pizza and wine which takes the price up. Pizza alone would be very reasonable

We learned of this place through our family since it's a family owned business (our cousins)! They just opened a few days ago. It is definitely not your average pizza place! These are true Italian made pizza's! And they are delicious! They have a huge brick oven to cook up to 8 or 9 pizza's at a time. As a new business they are starting out with only 3 at a time. The atmosphere is very homey & welcoming. There are pictures of family members on the walls. Customer service is the best! One of the cool & favorite parts is you can watch them make the pizza's. The six of us all tried something different. Dad had the four cheese pizza, Bayley had a ceasar salad, I had the margarita pizza, mom & Justin both had the bbq chicken pizza. And all the pizza's are your own personal pizza! The food was delicious. My Margarita pizza was made with fresh crushed tomatoes, some basil & yummy cheese. I ate almost all of it & only because I had to try the bbq chicken pizza too. The bbq chicken pizza was soooo good. I've never had anything like it before & I have to say it was my favorite. Everyone said their food was just amazing. I will definitely be going back for more bbq chicken in the future. I recommend anyone & everyone to go check this place out! Try all the food, & see what is your favorite! :) I hope you enjoy!

The food is delicious and the restaurant provides a nice small business dynamic that is sometimes missing from this part of the Springs. Definitely happy it's in the neighborhood.

Great pizza, excellent experience. Was a bit disappointed because I heard so much about this place so my expectations going in were very hight.

This place is right around the corner from my house and we decided to try it the other night for dinner. It was very, very good. The menu is small but perfectly thought out. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

The best pizza we've had since we moved to C Springs! Both the sandwiches and the pizza are outstanding. Nice clean restaurant, nothing fancy and great staff. Strongly recommend!

Update as of 6/30/2014. They have not burnt the bottom of the pizza in the last year, so they must have improved something. Still excellent food. :D Original below: I have eaten here more than 20 times, and I just really love their food. Great value as well. All the pizzas are the same size, about medium-ish compared to other pizza joints. So at $7~10 a pie some people think it is expensive. BUT it's really really good. SOMETIMES, they burn the bottom of the pizza excessively. It is really hit or miss and that is my only complaint. They also have sandwiches, salads and cannolis! The workers are all friendly, and it is comforting to see the same employes every time you go there. The owners are usually there to greet you personally, and if you are lucky enough to be a regular then they will recognize you. :)

This pizza was unbelievable! I have been looking for good pizza in Colorado and thought it was a lost cause. There was much diversity in their pizza options and the staff was very friendly. Put the pizza itself - oh my! All of the 7 people I was with including myself loved it. I have been trying to figure out excuses to get up to that side of town ever since. I definitely recommend this place!
(5)Kevin W.
Very good pizza & nice people running the place. We split the Margherita pizza, which was enough for two for lunch, & each had a cannoli. My only complaint is that we couldn't buy garlic knots unless we bought a salad? Fail. Other than that, we'll be back without hesitation.
(4)Laura M.
AWESOME!!! We will be back for sure! Bought a livingsocial deal and I wish that I bought more! shucks!!!
(5)Eileen O.
We really like eating here- the pizza is delicious- tho admittedly I'm stuck on the basic moz/basil. The sandwiches are great too- kids split one bc they're big enough to satisfy both. Cannolis are fantastic- just the right size- cant stand the giant ones with a pound inside. Owner is usually around checking on folks and socializing- sometimes delivering food too. A great small little pizza joint.
(4)Troy W.
Most authentic Italian style pizza in the Springs. I spent 6 months in Italy and this is as close as it gets! The pizza oven was imported from Naples. Fantastic.
(5)Rider S.
i really enjoyed my experience tonight. It was very clean and classy with out having to worry if I was dressed up enough. I can see letting my husband take me a some more dates there in the future.
